We are happy to announce we have added nurses for the 2020-21 school year using COVID funding. All of our schools (except the Early Childhood Center) will have a nurse on-site during the school day to provide support and care to our students and staff. In addition to helping with the daily minor medical needs that naturally arise at school, the nurses will be available to our students and staff should they have any COVID symptoms. With parent/guardian consent, the nurses will be able to administer an on-site rapid COVID test. This consent form must be on file for the nurse to administer a COVID test; however, the nurse will also contact the parent/guardian prior to administering a COVID test. There will not be a cost for administering a COVID test to a student who has COVID symptoms. The cost to administer a COVID test is being paid for by a COVID grant from Kent County.
Our school nurses are excited to be a part of the Knight family and are looking forward to helping keep all students and staff at Kenowa Hills safe!

Hello! My name is Alex and I will be a nurse at Central Elementary. I have one son who is four and we love to go on adventures together. We go to parks, playgrounds, the zoo, and so much more. We have two pets, an 11 year old cat named Tily and my son’s beta fish named Spinny.

I know this year is a roller coaster for us all so please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Hello all! I am excited to be a new school nurse at Central Elementary. I have worked in a hospital setting for 39 years, with the majority of my years in obstetrics and surgery prep/recovery. School nursing will be an exciting new experience! I love children! I am married with 10 children and 12 grandchildren (so far). We live out in the country and have cattle, pigs, and horses. We keep very busy with our large family close to home, but we do enjoy traveling to Iowa to visit some of our children and grandchildren.
I look forward to meeting the many new faces and making this school year a great experience for your child!
